anemia

From 2021-2023, I released three musical projects under the name anemia, Life in jars, How to look forward to the apocalypse, and Between me and you. I sometimes joke that everyone made a lo-fi album during Covid.

I chose the name anemia partly in reference to the genetic blood condition I have. It was also chosen because of the particular sound I wanted my music to have. All the music I released under the name anemia was very meek and distorted, some of it is quite cool for it.

Retrospective

In hindsight, I find a lot of anemia music a little bit too shy trying to play off being cool. I was not a confident singer or a confident musician.
