*Everyone on their laptop was writing HTML code.*
**HTML Day Melbourne** was an event I ran where people got together to write [HTML](https://avavu.au/html) code. It was part of a [global network of HTML Day events](https://2026.html.energy/). I co-hosted it with Amelie Vorchheimer at Palomino Bar in Brunswick. Before the event, I talked about it on [Triple R's Byte Into It](https://avavu.au/byte-into-it-interview).
It was a huge success. Thank you to everyone that came. I have plans to host more in the coming years.
